Essential Oils

• Never take essential oils internally, except under supervision of a qualified aromatherapist, doctor or herbalist
  
  
• Always familiarise yourself with the properties of each oil before use, in order to avoid adverse effects - for example, some oils are not suitable for use during pregnancy
  
  
• Always adhere to recommended dilutions - in most cases (notable exceptions being first aid use of lavender and tea tree, lemon oil applied to warts and sandalwood and ylang-ylang when used as perfume) essential oils should not be applied neat to the skin
  
  
• Persons with sensitive skin are advised to test oils on a small area of the inner arm prior to use
  
  
• Do not allow oils to come into contact with eyes
  
  
• Keep oils out of reach of children and pets.
